Extra Info- This mare came to the rescue underweight and out of work. She is still gaining weight but we did get the all clear to do a riding evaluation. Although she can be pushy on the ground she did well under saddle. That being said her previous home did say that she did buck a bit when they first got her but hasn't in a while, we have not had any nonsense under saddle. She is a walk/trot only riding horse.

Extra Info- Diesel was recently brought back to the rescue due to no fault of his own. When he left he was riding around well for an intermediate or above rider but he was still pretty green when he left and has not had much done with him in the last 6 years. He needs to be caught up on some maintenance items and then we will reevaluate his training level and then we will set him adoption fee.

Extra Info- Vail is a big boy that can be a little pushy on the ground but with proper correction is a good boy. He was used as a jumper in his previous home, although he has had some time off so we have not brought him over any jumps since arriving at the rescue. He is good under saddle at the walk, trot and canter. We have only ridden him in an English saddle as that is what he has been ridden in his whole career.

Health concerns/Needs: Vail does require annual injections for both his hocks and his stifles. He also has a couple of melanomas that will need continued monitoring, at the moment it has been advised to just monitor growth on them. When in work he does best in at least a half set of shoes.

Extra Info- Wynd recently was brought back into the rescue after her previous adopters illegally sold her. Unfortunately in her new home she was starved and not taken care of. Extra Info- Shadow was surrendered to the rescue after retiring from playing polo. Shadow is a very broke mare that neck reins and moves well of leg. She walk, trot, lopes off beautifully. She was surrendered due to being "cinchy", Shadow can be a bit reactive when being saddled. We have treated her for ulcers, had her adjusted, and seen by our vet. At this point our vet believes this behavior has become a learned behavior as she does not show any pain when being backed or ridden. With consistent work this behavior does get better, but when given time off it seems to reoccur.

Extra Info- Charlie came to us as a surrender from the western slope incredibly underweight, his weight is now good and he is completely UTD on his maintenance. Charlie is a well broke arena horse with some buttons but had lots of years off from riding so would do best with someone who can get him back in shape and isn't intimidated by a forward horse. He does have a slightly clubby front hoof that requires a good farrier. We have not had him out on trail.
