Surrendering your animal
We understand making the decision to surrender your animal is difficult, therefore we are happy to answer questions you may have about the process but we will summarize on this page. Know that we always have the animals best interest at heart. All our animals get regular care and if needed the appropriate training!

Steps to surrendering:

1. The first step to surrendering your animal to Safe Landing is completing and emailing the completed surrender form back to safelandinghorserescue@yahoo.com. We ask that you are as honest as possible on the surrender form as it helps us best care for the animal. Because we are a smaller Colorado rescue we do occasionally have a waitlist to take in horses.

2. Once you have submitted the surrender form and heard back from us on availability to take your animal, we MUST have the brand inspection put into the rescues name. If your horse does not have a brand inspection we will do our best to help you obtain on from the brand board, but we cannot take any animals without a brand inspection that has been transferred to the rescue.

3. The final step is organizing a time to get your animal to the rescue! Our surrender process is generally simple and fast depending on space we have to take in horses!
